Eternal Landscapes 2012 to 2013
Eternal Landscapes pick up a theme of previous paintings such as my Time and Earth, Wind and Fire series. I use horizontal stripes of colour, reminiscent of a landscape, although the viewer does not have to see them this way; they can be perceived as pure abstraction.
My aim is to take the viewer into a place of inner contemplation, like a pool of still water, undisturbed by the incessant noise and interruptions of outside life. It produces the same effect as looking out of the window to a mountain view or seascape.
