Outside the grid installation 2013

This series of paintings address concerns about the modern day life style of always being on the grid, always contactable connected by new technology to the world, never being alone. We broadcast details of our lives on social media. To realise this series I had to step out of this arena which is the social norm to be an outsider looking in on society. My emotional response for me has been liberating rather than isolating.
